Not only is she darling and a pleasure to work with, she is incredibly talented. She has the gift to visually perceive the way a garment will best accentuate your body ~ complimenting you most fashionably! She is working around the clock. Answers phone calls 24 hrs. a day ~ She is flexible and accommodating. reliable, professional, and most reasonable. Soft spoken, she listens, and pays 100% attention to what she is doing. I first had the pleasure of meeting her, discovering her great services a year ago, summer of 2008 when she custom-made a bridesmaid dress for me to wear in my best friends wedding. With 7 of us in the bridal party, All turned out to be stunning. The night before by friends wedding, she was with Dorie~ who was fixing her gown, from another seamstresses "bad alteration" I couldn't believe her ease, working with a frantic bride. She worked some true magic with in minutes. Accepting the job most gracefully! So when i purchased
my wedding gown, off the rack SAMPLE and had the lady at the bridal shop
(won't mention where i bought it) begin alterations~ I quickly returned
to pick it up...She was butchering it! She found time to re-create my gown, 1 week before my big day! My dress was more beautiful than i could have ever imagined! It was not cheap, but it WAS reasonable. Considering the amount of work and the time frame~ the outcome was priceless! She did EVERYTHING under the sun to perfect it! My dress and I were stunning!!! Not only is she the BEST seamstress around, Ive been to many...Nobody, compares to her quality! She also gave me great advise for the type of heals i should be wearing. My veil, under-slip, jewelry, hair etc. without trying to sell my anything. She just had my best interest in mind. This is rare, and i believe it's hard to find. I'll back up my story with photos, just contact me! If I could I would write her name in the sky, and refer her to everybody. finding her review on Wedding Wire. At first I was a little
shocked/disappointed/annoyed that it cost so much for a simple bust
alteration, bustle and steam ($489) but after she finished the dress and
I went to pick it up I could not BELIEVE how amazing she made my
already perfect dress. I was sure my dress needed no alterations and
the fact that she made it fit even better than before was a very
pleasant surprise. The dress fit perfectly and the bustle was in line
with the rest of the dress. It was ready to go on time and looked
amazing on me. I would go back to Dorie in a second no matter what the
price. She really does work miracles."

The reason why it came up now is because I continue to get compliments on the dresses Dorie made for me. They were alternations, but big alternations. On my "big day" dress, she completely re-did the bustier, shortening it for my figure (I bought it from a sample sale, the dress was made for a 5'10" girl with a long torso and big boobs) and adding a beautiful pleated organza ruffle (taken from the train since it was way too long). It added more decency, but improved the dress a lot. I wondered why Ramona Keveza didn't think of that. She re-did another gown with lots of beads, and had to work around a lot of expensive beading work. The dress fit like a glove! " ---------------------------------------- "My bridesmaids dress is fabulous! It's a column design with a train, and it needed an excellent fit in order to look nice. Dori is a master at her craft. My dress fits like a glove as if it were custom made for me. I am extremely happy. In fact, one of the other bridesmaids in our wedding party is going in to see Dori to have her dress "fixed" because (after 2 trips to the other shop) it still doesn't fit right. "Dorie did wonders for my wedding dress! I had bought a sample dress in Denver and brought it home, fully forgetting that it was going to need some serious alterations. I found her online and saw she had great reviews. I needed the dress to be taken in two sizes and it also needed a bustle, which turned out to be challenging because the fabric on the back of the dress wrapped around at an angle. The final cost ended up being more than what my dress cost, but it was worth it. I basically had a custom gown made for me. The best part was when I came back after the alterations were complete, the dress fit like a glove. Exactly what you'd hope for! Kong is a genius. "I purchased this dress from L'Mode Bridal. Dorie was very easy to work with, allowing me to tell them exactly what I wanted. Even with a few changes that I had requested for the dress, they did an outstanding job, using the fabric (silk) that I had ordered. It is definitely worth the money to buy a dress from L'Mode Bridal and have it tailored especially for you. I was skeptical at first so I bought a bridesmaids dress from L'Mode Bridal which came out exactly how I hoped in the same colors I had requested. Specify the components that you REALLY want the same, and they will make sure the dress contains those. None of my requests for changes to the dress were ignored. It was 35 years old gown. I took it to four different dress-makers for sizing and remodeling and none of them had the confidence to alter it. When I shared my story with my church friends in a gathering, one of a church attendee named Jane over heard it. Jane referred me to Dorie because she had her wedding gown altered by her 3 years ago. Dorie did a terrific job how I wanted it and it fitted me perfectly eventhough the gown was 2 sizes smaller than my size. Dorie does magic. I surprised my mom wearing her wedding gown. The dress needed to be taken in all over, hemmed, bustled and the veil had to be bustled as well. The dress was a mess, beautiful, but definitely needed hard core alterations. Not to mention, this had to be done fast. My friend has had nothing but problems with her dress from the beginning so she (all of us) were very skeptical...especially when we saw how small the alterations place was. Dont let looks deceive you. Dori was fantastic!!!
